He graduated from TED Ankara College, Ankara, Turkey in 1973. Then, he graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Ankara University, Turkey. in 1979.
After serving as the District Governors of Kızılcahamam, Eynesil, Gazipaşa, and Başkale in the Ministry of Interior, he served as the Chief Civil Inspector and later served as the Governor of Isparta and Antalya.
He is married and has one child.
